WEDNESDAY is a comic book written and illustrated by John Bergin.
The comic tells the story of Wednesday, a sixteen-year-old girl living in a post-apocalyptic world, hiding under a scrap yard. On the eve of her sixteenth birthday, Wednesday’s father is kidnapped by bounty hunters. In order to save him, Wednesday ventures into the unknown with her only friends; robotic sock monkeys Manny, Moe and Jack. Armed with her wits and driving a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, Wednesday must overcome bandits, killer machines and a deadly assassin from the past.
Two soundtrack albums have been created to accompany the book. One of the albums is a compilation of various artists making music based on and inspired by the book, the other album is score music meant to be played in the background while reading - just like a film score.
The Various Artists soundtrack album features original music by Daniel Davies (John Carpenter, Year Long Disaster) and Geno Lenardo (Filter, Device). Guest performers include Mlny (Royal Thunder), Will Hunt (Evanescence), Brian Liesegang (Filter, NIN), Nina Bergman (N.I.N.A.), Aly Jados, John Bergin and KYBD
The Score album features music by Daniel Davies and Geno Lenardo as well as contributions from John Bergin (Trust Obey, C17H19NO3).
